Gas geyser repair
Diagnosed faults on an existing gas geyser — ignition, flow, or gas-supply issues.
Gas geyser work covers its own real, standalone demand — separate from electric geyser repair — and its own compliance path.
Gas geyser repair and installation needs a SAQCC Gas-registered installer — the body mandated by the Department of Employment and Labour to register gas practitioners in South Africa — and a Certificate of Compliance under SANS 10087, the gas installation standard. This is separate from, and does not replace, the Electrical CoC an electric geyser needs.
An electric geyser installation needs a registered electrician to issue an Electrical Certificate of Compliance for the electrical connection. A gas geyser instead needs a SAQCC Gas-registered installer — SAQCC Gas is the body mandated by the Department of Employment and Labour to register gas practitioners in South Africa, covering LPG installations including gas geysers. Once the job is done, the installer should issue a Certificate of Compliance under SANS 10087, the gas installation standard — a separate document to the Electrical CoC an electric geyser needs.
Ask any installer quoting on gas geyser work to confirm their SAQCC Gas registration and that a SANS 10087 CoC is included in the quote — don't assume it's the same paperwork as an electric job.
